Juvederm

A topical anesthetic, local injection or nerve block may first be administered. During the procedure, the Juvederm is injected directly into the skin with a very fine needle. The treatment area will gently massaged after the injection in order to ensure even distribution.
While patients may experience some redness, swelling and discomfort for the first few days after treatment with Juvederm, recovery is minimal and most patients are able to immediately return to work and other normal activities. Juvederm results can last up to six months or longer. A follow-up procedure performed within a few weeks of the initial injection may help to extend the duration of results.
